Teaching and learning at Illawarra Sports High School is organised into generalised areas called Faculties.
Each faculty is responsible for a range of subjects that relate to the faculty name.
For example, in the faculty called Social Science, the staff are responsible for the teaching of subject varying from Geography to Economics and Legal Studies.
